"I purchased this based on my knowledge of Cerwin Vega's long-standing tradition of building great "large enclosure" systems. This is a tremendously LARGE unit and has an AWESOME big speaker sound. I've watched several movies with this sub as well as played a variety of music and it is wonderful. Explosions, music, EVERYTHING is the way a subwoofer is supposed to sound. I gave it 4 stars because I would have liked to see more than 200 RMS watts to this woofer. It should have been equipped with a 500+ watt amp; but as I said, this is incredibly loud as is, but the extra power would be nice for the added control."

"This sub is great. It is quite large however (and heavy), so be aware if you are planning on using this in a small room. It might be overkill for some. Of course I'm the type that that there is no such thing as too much bass :-) I just can't give enough praise for this item's quality though. It is very well made, solid, and attractive. I'm using this sub with the large matching Cerwin Vega speakers I got here on Overstock and love it."

"My Home theater system is in my basement. I need a 15" or high power 12" woofer. The price is why i purchase from overstock. The price comparison i did was extensive, and overstock had the lower price. The only reason why i gave a 4 was that CV should have added much more powerful amp (200rms). The amp should be more like 400rms, for certain passages. Also, i think the enclosure should be slighter deeper for more defined bass like another rater had suggested. Also, why in the world CV dont add "feet" is beyond me. And of course as always, overstock does the best of the best in shipping. I will continue to shop w/overstock along with sharing my experiences with friends.....ty overstock!!!!"

"I went from using a 10" sub to this monster 15" sub..... what a difference that has made. This sub will shake the whole house during movie watching. Listening to music with a lot of bass is like getting kicked in the chest. LOL Even my powerful Denon receiver can't give this 15" sub a real workout. It is simply amazing.
Overstock.com sells this sub more than $100 less than any other site out there and with $2.95 shipping, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this Cerwin Vega sub to anyone. Thanks Overstock."

"First off I must state that I'm a big CVfan and owned CV's since 1987. I bought this sub for a 300SF hometheater room in my basement . The performance of this sub is good to great but not perfect. To be specific the bass could be more defined with more power. I am picky audiofile and my expectations were very high. I bought this sub because the price was right and the reviews were good ( and I'm a big CV fan). I'm currently using a CV surround sound in my room now so it made sense. I replaced a homemade sub I built with a dual VC 15" CV in a sealed box. I powered it with a Carver 1000 watt amp. I was not pleased with the sound of my box. This sub is great value and sounds good. It could use a remote for adjustments. My wife says it's too much bass. This sub will satify 95% of customers."

"This sub looks and sounds great. and is less than half the recommended retail value. Only thing that surprised me was that theres no serial number in the box on the back that's labeled "serial number". So i'm assuming this is b-stock or something. But I can't tell from listening to it and it looks fine as well. The five year cerwin vega warranty won't be valid either but it wouldn't have been anyway since overstock.com is not, as far as i know, an authorized cerwin vega retailer. But it does sound great and is a great deal. Half price with no warranty... I'd buy it again. Oh and I don't know where they came up with 450 watts, but its definitely 200 watts RMS."

"This sub lives up to its size and power with plenty of bass. It can shake things if placed to close, but that is easy to avoid. Plus, if place correctly in the room the sub fills the room with loads of bass. The sub is easy to hook up and has a volume adjustment on the back if you dont want to use of its power. But why would you want to do that? The sub also looks pretty good all black and with the see through grille. Worth every penny!"

"This baby really rocks. I put it in my home theater next to the couch and when the monster jumps out and the couch shook you can bet we all came out of our seats.
