Olympus WS-100 27-hour Digital Voice Recorder (Refurbished)
The compact, brushed silver WS-100 is equipped with 64MB of internal memory for up to 27 hours of recording time and features a new direct PC link capability, allowing you to plug the recorder right into a computer for easy downloading of audio, document, image files, and more.

"This is the niftiest little product. The learning curve was about 15 minutes and I was making recordings, saving them on my computer and editing them with regular Microsoft applications. The format of the recordings is standard MP3 and can be manipulated and used directly on my MP3 player or saved on CDs or a thumb drive. I've dictated letters while driving, notes while taking pictures and I even keep a folder of reminders. All digital voice recorders shuould interface with a PC like this one. It's a great tool."

"The greatest thing about this recorder is the fact that you don't need a USB cable to hook it up to your computer. Just pull it apart and a USB plug appears! Then, it just works like a thumb drive that you put into your computer. If you have 2 USB ports on your computer, you can drag audio files from the recorder drive to your thumb drive for back-up. For the price, I'm just surprised that newer models are the same price or cheaper. However, I'm glad I went for this model and not the others. Oh, and for Mac users, the files produced with this device can be listened to using DSS software or iTunes. Use the DSS software if you're going to transcribe."

"For an inexpensive digital recorder, this is a great buy. The added benefit is that there is no software to load and being able to immediately connect through any USB port makes this unit great for traveling. Compact, easy to use, and being a great price through Overstock, you cannot go wrong."

"The HQ setting picks up my professor's voice with great clarity even when I sit in the back of the room. I use this for my Microbiology labs and lectures but I found that only 4 hours of lecture will store on the device during HQ setting. So, just remember to connect it to a USB port and save lectures on your computer and delete the recording off the device. Perfect and easy use... very small, lightweight, and handy. I recommend this for any college student wanting quality recordings and not a big dent into the budget. Mine was refurbished and works great... had some signs of wear but did not effect the device."

"i was not impressed with the shipping, i ordered and i received it more than a week later, i mean i understand i chose the least shipping method but still it took a very long time. i purchased a refurbished item, buyers are advised to go through it before ppurchasing whether you are buying a refurbished one or new one. all in all, the recording is good and the product is good as i use it to record sermons and it does the job. but the functions are not very user friendly."

"The sound quality is very good and the operation of the unit is very user friendly. Right now, I'm using it more to download music and have the unit with me when I walk in the mornings. "I purchased this product and once it arrived, the first thing that took me by surprise was how small the device was. Secondly, without the ear plugs, the sound is poor, not very clear at all. However, it does sound much better when using the ear plugs. Also, I have not been able to figure out how to download the files, perhaps I just need to continue to work with it."
