"The shredder arrived on time and was easy to set up. This shredder is relatively quiet compared to most other types and even has a "solid" sound when it is shredding. I like the pull out bin. It beats having to dislodge the shredder to empty the bin like with previous shredders. Even with the discounted price I was a little concerned about whether it would be a good purchase. After using Fellowes Confetti Cut Paper Shredder for the first month, I think it was worth the price. It is sturdy and fits well beside my desk in my home office."

"This is the BEST shredder I have ever owned!! From the moment you take it out of the box, you are ready to use this product. It cuts through piles of papers with ease. Credit cards are also demolished in mere seconds. I love the fact that you can empty the can without having to remove the cutting mechanism. It simply slides out and the safety feature is automatically engaged once the can is removed. I have used this product from the time it came out of the box and , not once has it ever jammed or seemed sluggish. The only thing I can say that does not fit with the description is, the paper pieces are more like strips not confetti."

"Great shredder-- it is heavy, weighing in at 15 pounds but most of that weight is in the lid. This will shred a piece of paper without folding... will also shred envelopes with the contents still inside (preapproved credit card offers) which saves time. My old one had to basically have one piece at a time and jammed up constantly. This is not very loud and the cross cut confetti would be impossible for someone to piece together. This has a lightweight removeable "waste" basket which makes the emptying easy. I am very pleased with the shrerdder and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a high quailty shredder for at home use. HAPPY SHREDDING!!!"

"This is our third shredder. The first 2 shredders were for light duty.
This one is for a heavier load. This is our second Fellows shredder. We purchased this because of the brand and the confetti cut feature which our first Fellow shredder did not have. Our first Fellows shredder still runs and surrived a flooded basement. The other shredder that we bought burned out."

"The shredder has been everything that was advertised. The machine is very quiet and has been a work horse since we got it without missing a beat. Like the view window on the catch bin this has been a big help in know when to empty it. Would reccomend this product to others."

"I'm giving this shredded 4 stars not because there is anything disappointing about it but because it's not quite as big as I thought it would be even with the web description. It is considerably quieter than my previous shredder , I love the confetti that it makes (much more difficult to piece together to steal an identity) and much easier to empty with the front removable basket. So far it'sbeen a work horse and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a heavy duty office shredder at a fair price."

"The previous shredder I had had the option of turning it on, off, or auto where it was off exept when paper was inserted. I liked this option considerably. The shredder seems to work fine, and I like that it does more than simply cut it into strips.
The bags that are shown near the shredder are not for this unit. They are huge -- five or six feet tall -- and do not work with this shredder. A simple plastic grocery bag would be much better (and cheaper).
The unit seems to work fine all in all. Just watch for the above!"

"I have had a few shredders in the past . This one seems pretty good at taking the paper that you feed it. It is quick and efficient. The one drawback is the width of the feed opening. It will not receive an envelope sideways. Regular envelopes must be fed in end first and this slows down the efficiency."

"Since I already used this brand before I knew it would be a good buy and was not dissappointed. It is a wonderful home machine, quiet and does a great job. My small grandchildren were visiting when it arrived and they loved feeding the shredder with my supervision. It took moments to put together and is so much quieter than my last one. "I have been an office manager for over 20 years and believed Fellows to be a good product. I have purchased several for my workplace, but this model was for personal use and after three uses it jammed up. I did the usual cleanout routine and the gear doesn't even move any more. I am hopeful that there is a good return process as it is just a big disappointment."

"It has never jammed on me. The one negative is that when you empty it paper tends to fall out on the ground which makes for a messy cleanup."
