"This is a great mat for pilates! My daughter and I both love them, however, if anyone were thinking of purchasing this mat for yoga, you will need a sticky mat on top for standing poses, as it does not grip and slipping is a probability. That said, if purchasing solely for pilates and/or floor exercises, gently yoga- you can't beat it!"

"I purchased 10 of these mats for clients and was looking for at least a 2 inch thickness for comfort, since my clients range in ages of 10- 90. I was a bit disappointed in the description of the thickness being 2 inches, in actuality it is about 1 inch thick. Other than that it's okay."

"I have only recently become a fan of yoga, but it is fast turning into my favorite exercise. These mats save my hands from the burn of the carpet. They are incredibly thick for a yoga mat and I love the material--it seems to repel moisture and stains."

"As a Certified Pilates Instructor, I was unhappy with the basic 1/4" yoga/pilates mats (On hard wood/concrete floor surfaces I could feel [painfully] my spine touching the floor during supine exercises. And I certainly don't want my students associating pain with pilates!) So when I came across these memory foam pilates mats I had to try them. When I ordered them I was a bit concerned that they would be too cushiony, but this is not the case. They are perfect. Just enough cushion.
They roll up larger than the basic 1/4" yoga/pilates mats, but its worth having to buy a larger bag to carry them in."
