The Story Behind the Project
Women's Bean Project is a Worldstock partner and a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for entry-level jobs through employment in our gourmet food production business.
They are located in Denver, Colorado and have been working with us for over three years Women come with the goal of transforming their lives and moving toward self sufficiency.
Women find the Bean Project many different ways, but most often are referred by graduates and current program participants. Parole officers, homeless shelters and other service agencies all refer women to the Bean Project
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

"My mid twenties daugher was quite surprised and happy with this gift under the tree. She lives in VT and is a vegetarian and very health conscious as well as socially conscious. She was touched that her mom ordered something that would benefit needy women and was packaged in a environmentally conscious manner. She has not used it yet so I cannot attest to how it tastes however but I am betting it will be delicious and an easy meal for her to prepare.. I would definitely order this or a similar package again."

"I bought this because I am a firm believer in helping people help themselves. Of course, there was also the fact that I've purchased food from this group before and have never been disappointed with the quality. This was purchased as a shower present but for some reason, never actually made it as a gift. It did, however, make a great meal for the shower itself. "I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother who likes bean soup and cornbread. Very simple gift and it looks exactly as the picture does. My only gripe is the price is a little overboard, around $14.99 would be more reasonable for this product. However, I enjoy helping out worthy causes and felt that it was worth the money in this event. I am very happy with this product and I am sure my mother will enjoy it. VERY QUICK SHIPPING!"
