"bought this over a year ago and we loved it until.......
Now it blacks out when it runs longer than 20'. Should have purchased an extended warranty on this; there is a reason it is refurbished.
Pros when it's working: good picture, decent sound
cons: slow to power up, no extended HDTV tuner
Can't really recommend a unit that lasts just over a year and then has a major prolbem like this - sorry"

"I bought this LCD TV in October and have been been very satisfied with it. It came with a few comestic blemishes, but not really noticeable. The picture in HD is GREAT. I bought the 2 year warranty, hope that I never need it. I received the TV in less than a week in original box. Very easy to set up and very user friendly. Speakers are great. The PIP is very good. The only problem that I have is that I just can't seem to get the remote away from my Wife, she loves it too. Get yourself one, GREAT PRICE!!!!"

"EXCEPTIONAL TV for the price, crisp, clear picture, dynamite sound. Easy to set up with lots and lots of added features. Unit was shipped quickly and very carefully... Absolutely no signs of this television being REFURBISHED. Everything appeared factory packaged. Our first purchase with overstock.com was EXCELLENT! And we will definately be back when we decide on new purchases. We highly recomend using this site and company. Thanks again."

"TV shipped from Overstock with no problems. Reconditioning wasn't apparent anywhere on unit. GREAT picture quality with high def. For the price, you will not find a better unit that ahs this many extras (good amount of connections, highdef and air tuner). Sound is good, easy to run trhough other speakers though.
Get a better DVD player though... if you have an old one/Playstation it will not impress."

"Much time was spent researching Plasma vs. LCD vs. Projection, sizes, brands, and of course prices. My husband is thrilled with the Vizio 37"-LCD. I am thrilled with the price. Although refurbished, the TV arrived in it's original packaging with all manuals. There were some marks, however nothing that disrupts the viewing. *Keep in mind, the television is refurbished...do not expect brand new. If you want brand new...spend brand new money. Otherwise a 37" LCD shipped to your door for under $800 is a steal. The price is low because it is not a 'big brand' name. However the quality has not suffered any.
Visual - crisp, clear, and beautiful colors (with an HD signal...I gave 4-stars on visual because for a regular signal you see almost a lag in movement...annoyed me very much until I realized that it does not happen with the HD channels).
Features - has Split Screen & Picture-In-Picture. The split screen has been put to the test by my husband and son by playing a PlayStation game while watching TV. Furthermore, they played both a PlayStation AND an X-Box game at the same time! There are a multitude of connections behind and alongside the television. All hidden as not to detract from the asthetics.
Sound - the TV has actual settings for different sound effects as if there were a surround system attached (i.e has settings for Concert Hall, Theatre, Surround Sound, etc.). Great option for someone who does not have a surround sound system. Same affect...no additional wiring! However, as stated above...many connections available if you do chose to hook-up a surround sound system.
Child-Safety - the buttons for volume control, channels, and power are slightly tucked underneath to keep grubby little fingers from powering on and off, changing your channel, and/or playing with the volume. Designed by a parent I'm sure :-) Great sturdy base for those who may like to rock the TV back & forth. And thin enough to push far back on your entertainment center / TV stand so that the kids do not pull it down on themselves.
Great purchase whether you decide to buy new or used. In either case it will be hundreds cheaper than any big brand name for the same quality."

"My TV arrived in approx. one week after placing the order. I also purchased the 2 year extended warranty for peace of mind. So far, I could not be happier. From the packaging for shipment to the high gloss cabinent finish, I am unable to tell that this is a refurbished unit. The picture is true to the research I found through "PC World" which rated it number ONE for it's size for LCD's (beating out the much pricier Sharp model). Beware of the dimensions provided on the site. The true measurements are: 37 & 3/4" wide by 29 & 1/2" high. Thanks for a stress free new toy."

"this is an ok tv. i bought it here reconditioned thinking it would be worth the savings in sales tax and shipping and slightly lower price reconditioned. but its probably not worth it. my set came with chipped paint on the bevel. the set itself works fine though not that intuitive to use (we have a samsumg 50" plasma that is much better in all respects). the reconditioning was clear in the knicks and flaking paint. i used a marker with black paint to disguise the chipping but it was a pain to do and obviously not perfect looking compared to a new set. im disappointed."
