"Through my OWN mistake, I thought I had ordered a voice recorder that had a USB transfer ability, but this one doesn't. So its not too useful to me.
But, it works good, has good voice pick up, even in a pocket and you can't tell at all that it is "re-furbished""

"I have decided to purchase this refurbished product. My past experience with refurbished electronics has never been great but the price was low, I had a need for this type of recorder and I was just done with my cell phone or palm recording features. I have received this little Olympus recorder, the cosmetic appearance was like new and after dropping two AAA batteries (included), it worked!
I then decided to pack it in my suitcase since I was on my way to the airport the same day. I read the manual and used it accordingly. I had it for over a month now and it works perfectly. I really forgot it was refurbished and I carry it all the time with me. I record mostly reminders, and sometimes, important conversations. The mic has two sensitivity levels. I keep it on low to reduce the background noise, but it works perfectly on high as well. There are three main folders to organize the recordings, and a way to move files once recorded. I love this device and I am still on the original batteries. I strongly recommend this product if you want to record reminders or important conversations. I have not tried the external microphone jack yet, and the earphone is mono, not stereo, which means that if you stick the headphones from your I-pod, you will only hear the left side, but it is good enough. There are three reading speed, in case you need slower or faster and several ways to add indexes, if you want to bookmark special parts of a conversation (either during recording or during playing). It is built with quality components and all the controls do not feel cheap, like some generic MP3 players. This is a $70+ recorder for half the price. I am so glad I bought it."

"Was looking for something to take notes while I do my job to be able to remember specific events before putting them on paper. It does just fine. It's a tiny little thing...much different than the cassette style. I do have trouble operating it when I'm not looking at what button to push, so that's taking some getting used to. I haven't read all the instructions yet to see how to operate all its features. It was listed as refurbished, but I found it to be in excellent condition and has it's instructions, so I'm very happy with my purchase."
