"I replaced a much smaller shredder with this one and am very happy with it. I used to dread shredding and now look for papers that need shredding. What a difference -- mostly because of the amount of papers it is able to handle, the size of the basket and the strength of the machine. It is a confetti shredder so I do recommend not putting a page in crosswise as you will be able to read a word or number on the shredded results. If you put the page in properly, the shredding will be much more secure as it will show several lines of typing with just a letter or two on each line.

"Super product! I had a backlog of shredding in my home and it was gone within a couple of days. The only thing is that is overheated after 15 minutes the first time I used it, otherwise it is a super product. You just can't shred 15 sheets continously or it will overheat. Very easy to set up & use. Much bigger than I expected & I was pleased with it!"

"I have owned several shredders in the past for use in my home, which never met my expectations until I purchased the Fellowes C14/ DM15c Commercial Paper Shredder . It is powerful, quiet, durable, easy to operate and move around, since it is on wheels. I especially like the feature of being able to shred up to 15 pages at one time, shred CD's and credit cards. I highly recommend this shredder and give it a 5-Star rating."

"we had a back log of shredding and this machine caught us up in one day. Just remember to unplug the machine when not in use...otherwise, it overheats quite easily."

"The on/off/reverse features are right on top and easy to use. This machine can handle a lot of paper easily and fast. It has never come even close to jamming. I pop in those entire envelopes with the credit cards inside - no problem. It eats up CD discs like they are paper. I had shopped around and the price could not be beat even at the big warehouse stores. Great machine."

"We love the new shredder. The store brand shredder that we paid the same amount for would only run for three minutes and then overheat. It also quit working within six months. This shredder is able to handle the large amount of paper we run through it."

"This has been the perfect shredder. While it took a minute to get my house straightened, it has been a god send. By me being in the IT world, allot of times I have cd's that needs to be destroyed, which this shredder does without a hiccup. Or those pessy companies that send info about new credit cards. I don't have to shred a couple of pages at a time...again I would tell my friends about this particular shredder. You don't have to be or own a company to have a company shredder."

"Large capacity shredder that's much quieter than most, works efficiently and smoothly. Large shredder bin size keeps you from having to empty it so frequently. All input slots and controls right at your fingertips for ease of use. I'm very pleased with this shredder all in all and would highly recommend it. It even came with some bags for the shredder bin and lubrication oil to keep it shredding smoothly!"

"The only minor problem is the collecting plastic bag. Is somewhat difficult to place and easily rips off and shredded material gets all over the place. You can shredd all kinds of credit cards, CDs, etc...Great addition to my office."

"very impressed - this thing eats credit card offer letters straight down without hesitation. Even with the fake card inside. I don't even open most of what I know is junk. It just goes straight to confetti heaven. I heard of some machines struggling to eat 4-5 pages at a time. This thing eats credit cards or DVD's with ease. Would easily buy it again. I hate hassles and this is totally hassle free"

"I was looking for a cross-cut shredder to replace my older unit that shredded in strips of about 1/4 inch. I realized that if someone really wanted to, they could piece together those strips and reconstruct the page and information that I wanted to destroy.
This Fellowes solved my problem.
Ten years ago one didn't have to worry about how to dispose of CD's and DVD's but now that they are used more frequently that becomes an issue. At first I used a pliers to render the DVD unplayable. Then I discovered I could run the DVD through my old shredder which would score the information part of the DVD but not totally destroy it. The Fellowes shredder took care of my problem. It totally destroys the DVD. Discovered that the Fellowes needs some "cool down" time if you have a lot of DVD's to shred. Was able to shred about 25 to 50 at a time then the machine would shut down. After the motor cooled down I was able to continue with the next batch.
I really like this machine.
P.S. It does give off a very plastic smell when the motor gets hot. Be sure to use the oil on the shredder blades that comes with the unit every once in awhile. You have to read the directions."

"We are a small office and have looked for a value in shredding for some time. The Fellowes C14 has more than fit the bill. It has been used heavily as we had shredding backed up due to the inadequate shredder we had. The shredder was delivered more quickly than expected and has performed better than anticipated.
