Add a touch of Himalayan culture to your living room with this exotic Singing Bowl. Singing bowls, also known as meditation bowls, have a history of curative use. The sound vibration aids concentration and evokes the Kundalini chakra. For collecting or meditation, a singing bowl brings a calming Buddhist influence.
Simply hold the bowl in the palm of your hand, gently rub the wooden handle around the outside rim, and hear its distinctive voice.

"I purchased 7 of these unique bowls as the main Christmas gift for each of our 6 adult children, and one for me. They were received in a very timely manner and in fantastic condition. There are only two things I would recommend a change on: one is the sticker "Handmade in Nepal" should be placed on the outside bottom of the bowl instead of the rim. I was afraid to use too strong of a chemical to remove it thinking it would affect the finish of the bowl, but the placement of the sticker affected the tone. The second item would be simple directions on how to operate the bowl. I went online and downloaded some instructions with pictures to enclose in the boxes for the kids. I did get my bowl to sing. It took some time and experimentation, but I did it. Very proud of myself. I'm now thinking of purchasing more bowls for extended family members and friends. If you're looking for something unique, handmade, and from another culture, try Nepal's Singing Bowls!"

"The sound quality is a bit tinny, maybe due to the thinness of this singing bowl. But it's still a great bargain. The picture does not do justice - it looks much nicer and the design is intricate and beautiful."

"This bowl is smaller than I thought it would be, but it is pretty and the stand is functional. The tone is good, not the best - but for the price it is acceptable."

"I bought this for my wife on a whim - she's always wanted one. When she opened it and it was small, she giggled a bit, but the tone was amazing. Absolutely worth every cent. She's now got the hang of the "singing" and again, it sounds beautiful. Buy it - it's a perfect start to a collection."

"This bowl is attractive, with a banded design that has writing on it that looks like Tibetan, but I couldn't swear to it. For all I know, it says, "Death to American Imperialists." It's the size of a large grapefruit with the top cut off. The finish is not shiny-bright - it has a bit of a patina. I don't think that's a flaw. (Unfortunately, it had a "Made in Nepal" sticker on the rim, which left a dark blemish. Annoying and silly.) The sound is quite sweet - and I often am not happy with how these things sound. It's easy to get it to sing. (As noted in other reviews: tap the bowl with the included wooden striker, then immediately begin rubbing the striker lightly and continuously along the outer rim of the bowl. Instant singing.) Also as noted elsewhere, the wire stand is cheap and ugly. I put it in the recycling. In short, this bowl is good value for money, and I expect to enjoy using it as part of my meditation practice for many years."

"This just arrived at my house today. The bowl does make an interesting sound and it has a unique look. I'm bothered by the stand - it is crooked and rusted where the paint has chipped off. This item is out of stock, so a replacement isn't currently available and isn't expensive enough to warrant the effort of a straight-out return, so I'll repaint the stand and try to level it. The rim of the bowl has some rust as well. I like it enough to keep it, but am disappointed in the quality. I'd recommend looking for this product in a brick and mortar store where you can assess the condition in person before purchase. I've been a frequent shopper of overstock.com for over 3 years and this is the first time I've had a product arrive in poor condition. I'll continue to shop at overstock but will probably avoid items from the worldstock category in the future - not good quality in my experience."

"This singing bowl is small, about the size of a cereal bowl. It is beautiful with etchings around the outside. The tone is higher due to the size and shape. I would definitely buy this again, it matches perfectly with my larger bowls."

"This singing bowl is not only beautiful, it has the most wonderful tone. Do not let what other reviews said regarding how hard it was to learn how to use keep you from this purchase. This has such a beautiful sound that it's tone was beautiful right out of the box.....and I have never used a singing bowl before. A MUST HAVE!"

"This Tibetan singing bowl is very beautiful, however, it is VERY small. About the size of half a grapefruit. It comes with a black metal wire cradle but that part looks kind of cheap. These bowls are normally very expensive so this is a good deal despite the smaller size. On the bottom it says, "made in Nepal.""

"The bowl is beautiful. However, unlike the first bowl I purchased a few months ago, this bowl didn't "sing" very well. The wooden mallet needed more work (had some rough spots that should have been smoothed), and the pattern on the bowl went up too high and seemed to interfere as well. That said, we still love the bowl and hope the next ones available are more polished and ready to play."

"We love it.I have two peruvian tables,I have placed the singing bowl on one of them.I received many comments on it.Although everyone has tried to make it sing,we have not,but we will not give up. Very nicely crafted, the workmenship is just awesome! It is definately a great piece for conversations and watching everyone try to work it, is a hoot."

"This is my thrid singing bowl from Overstock. This one was the most beautifully designed. The sound isn't as rich as the other two I have but it makes up for it in the decorative sense with the eye of buddha design and intricate pattern on the outside of the bowl. It's definitely well worth it!"
