"I love cameras that are easy to use. I work for a marketing company and we go through a lot of cameras and I have to say the Cannon cameras have lasted us wtih no problems. My staff never has any problems and they alwasy say how user friendly they are. The new ones were easy also and my staff picked up on how to use them right away because they very similar to the othe Cannon Digital cameras we had. Download is easy also, no issue whatsoever. BUY THIS CAMERA, IT'S A GOOD PRICE AND WILL LAST YOU!!"

"I already had a Canon A530, but I wanted more pixels (more data) so I shopped for the A540 which is 6MP vs 3MP on the A530. The new camera (new to me) works well, original batteries held out for a lot of work. Using the manual, I'm able to figure out how to increase or decrease the file size of each photo I take. Quality is excellent. This is a "refurbished" camera, and it seems in perfect condition. Truth is, I'm a complete know-nothing with these digital cameras, so I appreciate what Canon has done to simplify the user interface. I'm very happy with the camera, and I trust Overstock when it comes to shopping."

"Loved all the bells and whistles on this camera but was not overwhelmed by them. Very straight forward to use but offered much more than the basics. It offered a lot for a small camera and the value was exceptional. Didn't see anything comparable for less than $300."

"I was very excited about buying this digital camera for a friend in California as I have one myself. Since most recently receiving the digital camera my friend has gone to Hawaii on vacation. Every day she emails me the clearest and most precise digital photos. It is if I am there in Hawaii with her. This inexpensive digital cameral takes extremely nice shots. "First I had to content with the pc, learning from my second grade grandson. Then my granddaughter taught me how to use a DVD player. Kids don't send pictures in the mail any more. Then my ?? birthday came along and so did a digital camera. They knew they had to get one that was easy to learn and work, You know us old (?) people, old dogs....new tricks ! But girls (and guys) the Canon Power Shot A540 is a dream come true. It fits in my purse, is a snap to down load and using the Auto setting, makes perfect pictures. m If I'd know it was this easy, I would have hinted, earlier. Many thanks to Canon and Overstock for having it, in stock. Can't be remise if I don't thank 9 kids, 28 grand kids and 24 g-grand kids."

"This is the first time I bought a refurbished unit and I had the opportunity of comparing this unit with a new one since I have a new A540 as well. What I found is that there IS a difference in image quality between the two units. The refurbished unit produced a bit blurry and unsharp image. The noise level was also high. Actually A540 is just an entry level digital P&S. I use a Nikon DSLR for my own. So maybe I was biased. But this camera perfomed even worse than my old buddy A85. And I got a hint that a refurbished unit IS ACTUALLY REFURBISHED and NOT A NEW ONE. This opinion is entirely mine and someone else might beg to differ from it. Overall it was okay, since the price was very affordable. What you pay is what you get."
