"We love this trash can! It is the right size and shape for our kitchen and it matches my other stainless steel appliances. A very nice trash can for the money. As the other reviewers said "it works great" It is like having a robot in your kitchen--we even named it! We have it in an area where we walk by it often so it is always opening unnecessarily--but we think that it is funny--but eventually we will put it somewhere else when we have to start changing the batteries!"

"It is really awesome looking, I love the convenience of touchless, especially when I'm cooking. The one draw back about the touchless is that my dog ( a lab) makes it open when she sniffs near it, she'sjust the exact height! go figure haha"

"This is a very nice looking, good quality trash can. I am having a little difficulty getting it back on the automatic opening after changing out the bags. I have to re-set it a few times. Uses 4 D batteries. Love the hands free lid."

"I love the look of the trash can but it is really hard to put the garbage bag in with the plastic ring. It is also hard to get the garbage bag out. I love the idea of the motion sensor that lifts the lid. That was the main reason for buying the product. Don't know if I would replace it when the time comes."

"Up until today, I would have given this product only the highest ratings. However, the little plastic gear that moves the lid up and down broke today, and I am left with just a regular trashcan. I contacted the Meijer Company, and there is no replacement part. Also, they will not replace just the top part of the product, even for a price. I am totally disappointed."

"the can arrived very fast. It is a nice purchase but the batteries runs out very fast because everytime someone gets close to it, it opens up even if you are just walking past it. I;ve had the can less than a month and I already had to replace the batteries."

"This makes dropping garbage in the can a lot easier. The unit has a nice clean look. Foot pedals crash the lid into the walls so I usually opened the lid by hand. This opens smoothly, quietly and closes the same way while keeping a hand free. Much easier and pretty cool. Only garbage can from now on for me."
