"Great! I own several portfolios and this one is one of the best. Love the leather and the storage compartments. I wish it had more pen pockets, but overall, it's a steal for the price. It does not have patting for your laptop, but more than enough room for one. My 15" Dell fits with plenty of room to spare."

"This briefcase/portfolio is very nice. The leather is soft and looks genuine -- not plastic-like. The bag appears wider (depth not length) in the pictures, it must have been stuffed for the photo. However, it is plenty wide. It can hold about 4/5 legal size file folders (multi divider types) -- depending on how much is in them. Also, the length allows this length of file to be easily removed . Just received the bag, so I cannot speak to durability -- but it appears well made. As for the flap lid. It comes with a key and the way you open it is by pulling up and out on the silver latch mechanism -- it opens and closes easily. when the bag is open, there are 4 total compartments inside. 2 smaller zipped pockets and 2 main compartments where the files go. The front zip pocket has plenty of space for pens and smaller pieces of papers -- checkbook or whatever -- the zipper doesn't open all the way down to the bottom of the pocket -- which is good. The back zipper pocket is tight and is part of the back of the bag. This could be used for smaller items as well. Also, there is an exterior pocket on the back side of the bag, which is tight but good be used to put smaller items in such as mail. The handel is padded from the bottom and comfortable. Comes with a shoulder strap which I have not and probably will never use. Overall bag is very nice. Nice soft leather. Looks are plain, but thats what I wanted. Certainly nice enough for business purposes."

"When I ordered this I was in the market for a very durable and inexpensive briefcase. I was planning on using it based on what it was able to be used. I think it is a very good bag, nevertheless it does seem like the main buckle that clsoes the bag does not seem the most comforting when you are carrying a lot of documents in it. It seems that it is put under a tremendous amount of stress and that eventually it will give way. I am somewhat pleased with the bag since it does stay standing up as the manufacturer claims. Nevertheless, the should straps that it comes with are absolute rubbish. You, at least I do, have to make sure they do not get pressured when lifting the bag and un-hook themselves from the bag. The strap itself has un-hooked itself countless times at work causing embarassment. Additioanlly, the handle that is found in your ordinary briefcase is good but also gives you the sense that it cannot take the weight when pushed to the limit."

"I have bought many briefcases over the years, but this one has got to be one of the best and for the money, it's an absolute bargain. Due to some smart thinking on the part of the designers, it keeps its shape no matter how much paperwork I stuff into it, and it doesn't topple over when opened and sitting on a desk or the floor. Professional-looking, simple and very practical. You won't go wrong with this necessary piece of equipment."
