"After reading all the reviews about this coffee maker I had decided to purchase it. I have only had it for three weeks but it has performed great. I love the way it brews and keeps the coffee warm at your heating preference along with not tasting burnt after hours. As for others that have commented about filling the holding tank, I myself found that it is very easy to fill with just the spray nozzle, and or with a container.I also have not had any issues with water dripping down any knobs when the lid is lifted up.I would recommend this model to everyone, Oh I forgot to mention that I am a quad amputee and this single serve unit makes my life much easier."

"At first my husband an I loved this coffee maker because of the idea that we did not have to deal with a pot. Well then one year after we bought it the coffee maker would not turn on. Sometimes it would come on after a while then it did not turn on at all. Well because we loved it so much we bought the same one thinking it was a fluke and just something wrong with that one. Well about two weeks ago (which was about a year later) the same thing happened.....the coffee maker would not turn on.Now I have other Cuisinart products so I would not say not to but their items .......just don't waste $100 on this product."

"Received 1st machine as a Christmas gift-love the look. No carafes to wash or break. The on switch stopped working after exactly 1 year. Called manufacturer and received a replacement. They are aware of the switch problem so maybe there will be a fix for future machines. I love that the coffee stays drinkable after many hours and it will cut off automatically. I do have some water drip at times but I don't have the most steady hands when pouring either. Also I like that the bottom tray will slide off to allow taller cups to fill. I can get latte mugs to fit but not some travel mugs. Easy fix, just fill one and pour into the other. I did catch in the instructions about making sure that the handles on the filter compartments point to the front to avoid water flow problems. Overall an very happy with this machine."

"We were initially thrilled with this product. But, this morning it turns on, heats, but does not BREW. I guess $10/month to brew 60 cups of coffee is alright. But, another cheaper brand was just brought out of retirement so we can have some coffee this morning. 90 day warranty only protects the manufacturer not the consumer."

"We have had this coffee maker for over a year. I think the workmanship is fine, and it makes a great cup of coffee. Here are some of the problems with the coffee maker. It is hard to pour water in the machine so it leaks if you put the water in the wrong place and I mean leaks!!! Second ,a tall glass won't fit. A tall - to go coffee mug won't work. Other wise if your careful pouring water in the machine and don't need a tall cup this coffee maker is well worth the money."

"BEST coffee maker i have ever had. First saw it at my sister's loved it so i ordered one, used it, then my daughter was looking for a new coffee maker so I had her order one and she loves it too. It's nice no glass carafe, dispenses 1 cup at a time. Coffee stays hot for the whole 2 hours it stays on, then it shuts off by itself. No bitter taste like other drip coffee makers and coffee is very hot not luke warm like other drippers. I would recommend it 100%!!! As a matter of fact this happens to be my second one. I use it everyday. Only downside to it is i wish where you put your mug under the dispenser was a little taller to fit taller mugs and traveling mugs."

"The concept of this coffee maker is wonderful, but.....I ordered my first one, got up one morning and there was water all over my counter. This continued to happen, so returned it. It had been over 30 days since I purchased it, and at first I did not think they were going to take it back, but they did, and they sent me another....free shipping. Well, the same thing happened. Water all over the counter. I have not used it in 3 days, and this afternoon, all of a sudden, there was coffee all over my counter, down the front of my cabinets and on the floor. They really should quit selling this machine. It is going to damage Cuisnart's good name"

"The coffee maker itself is fine -- it makes good coffee in a reasonable amount of time. It's esthetically pleasing and looks good in my kitcnen. I thought, though, that refurb would look like new -- it doesn't. When the coffee maker arrived there were stains on the stainless steel outside, and the inside smelled like coffee -- it had obviously been used. This may have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I won't be buying refurb again."

"This was an impulse buy, and I must say was impressive on the ocunter, got lots of comments on it. At first it was a little awkward to use, and not all my cups fit in the space provided but made a good hot cup of coffee. after everyday use and in about 90 days it development numerous malfunctions, timer was sporadic at best, coffe was luke warm, leaked, the press and serve bottom got jammed.....very disappointed, great idea, great concept put poor quality."

"I have owned three of these machines in the past three years and they have all broken within a year and been sent back to the manufactuer for replacement.....the last one just broke and it was just out of warranty so I have to buy a new coffee maker.....I talked with a Cuisinart representative for quite a while about the quality of this particular machine and he said that they have problems constantly and that the only reason they are not pulled off the market and recalled is because people keep buying them......the design is seriously flawed though......each time one of my machines broke it was a different problem.....I strongly suggest that you purchase a different coffee maker....."

"So we've had about 7 of these coffeemakers in the family so I feel well qualified to give a review: all of us LOVED the ability to have no carafe and the press and serve function. The problem being that filling the tank can be both messy and...well, really messy. Complicate matters by the fact that everyone of these 7 coffeemakers started to leak. Mine was the last to break--and I've had mine the longest but I don't use it daily; more like once a month. So I blamed it on user error when there was water all over my counter.Next thing you know, there's coffee all over the counter. The "press" button broke and stayed on. So water all over my counter in the rear; coffee all over my counter in the front. It joined the others in the garbage after about a year of ownership.Such a shame....the press and serve funtion is so nice and it's such an attractive yet affordable coffeemaker. Now I am the proud owner of a Bunn regular coffeemaker. It's not nearly as high-tech but maybe that's a good thing. Less to break. I'll never buy Cuininart again."

"I always wanted a Bunn, bought one and hated it. I went back to my Cusinart and love it. The only two things that I feel this could be improved upon is 1) a light on the unit (small LED light) so that when you are filling your cup you can see when the coffee gets close to the top; 2) I have to remove the tray to put my travel mug in to fill it up. I love the fact that my coffee stays HOT becuase on the weekends it is nice to know I don't have to be up at 5:30 to get a cup of coffee. By the time I roll out at 8:00 it is still nice and hot and GOOD!!!"

"This worked flawlessly for about a year then I noticed that when I would get up the coffee would not be ready! It would lose a few minutes a day. After a while it lost about 15 minutes a day so programming was out of the question. I unplugged it to see if the timer (digital) would reset itself. When I plugged it back in it wouldn't work at all! Small pieces of the plastic coffee reservoir would occasionally flake off also!"

"I have been using this coffee maker for about two months now. It works flawlessly. I love not having a carafe (although people who visit me and get their own coffee always ask where is the carafe?) I have had no problems with leaking or sludge. I keep my coffee maker right by my sink and fill it with the spray hose from my sink so I don't have to worry about a container to fill it with water. The coffee is delicious and hot for hours. It is VERY fast to brew also. It had a slight mark on the front of mine that was the only indication this was a refurbished unit. I have had such good luck with overstock's referbished appliances that I look for them first when I am ready to buy a new appliance, and I never buy the warranty."

"This is my favorite all-time coffee maker. I bought one new for over $100 a few years ago and used it every day until it died. When I found a refurbished model on Overstock for half price I jumped.
I have had other Cuisinarts which are generally well made but the carafes are poorly designed and are impossible to pour without spillage. This model eliminates the carafe. Also easy to clean and looks great, like a nice espresso machine. The refurb I bought is flawless; you would never know it was serviced. High reccommendation."

"This was actually a replacment for the same model we purchased at retail over 4 years ago. Arrived in perfect condition, however, when drinking instant coffee in the interim, it seemed like an eternity before it arrived!! None-the-less, it made us appreciate the quality java this thing puts out even more! Prior to this model, we owned several Capresso machines and concider this to make as good coffee as they did. We also love the NO CARAFE feature!"
