"This product was bought for my brother-in-law for Christmas. Don't know if he'll like it or not but that's what he requested. I, for one. didn't like this particular Cuisinart, when I purchased it a few years back. The grind part stopped grinding after 2.5 years of a 3 yr warranty. I have another Cuisinart grind & brew (not from Overstock) so I'll see how long this one lasts."

"This coffee maker only lasted 2 years. It was great when we first received it, but slowly, it just didn't keep up with the 'daily grind'. A year ago, the grinder started to slip, and you always had to make sure to seat the grinding basket just right, give it a little giggle, to make sure it sat right, otherwise the gear head would just spin, not grind the beans. The components are made of plastic, so it basically wore out the gear head that spins the grinding blade and eventually, stopped grinding. Now it won't spin and grind anymore.
The programmable auto brew feature is great. However, just yesterday, it stopped brewing at the programed time... now it's just a fancy looking standard coffee maker."

"My Cuisinart Grind and Brew reconditioned coffee maker arrived in perfect condition. It makes great coffee, and it is easy to clean. It does make noise when grinding or brewing, but nothing that is that annoying. All grinders make noise. I haven't used the coffee maker feature yet that programs the maker to make coffee before you wake up in the morning, but I am sure I will like that as well. I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone."

"This product makes terrific coffee. It works very well. Easy to clean. Ours is a refurbished model. It shows more wear than I expected to see. The black plastic has a lot of fine scratches in it and was water spotted."

"This is a good price! We have had the Grind and Brew for nearly two years now, and we LOVE it! We use a gold filter basket and filtered water (since our tap water is terrible) and it makes a great cup of coffee. We resently had a house full of guests and everyone was very impressed with quality of the coffee. Two family members have each decided to buy Grind and Bews for themselves, and another friend has already bought one for his wife as a Christmas present! We have not had any problems with our unit, but we do recommend hand-washing the grinder basket and internal parts. A friend of ours used to put hers in the dishwasher and had some problems with the grinder after about a year, although the problem was easily fixed. I'd say the biggest disadvantages are it only makes 10 cups...it sure doesn't last long! Also grinding whole beans at 5am can be loud, but the coffee is worth it."

"We enjoy the coffee's flavor but find the grinding process to be combersome. It also only holds enough beans to make six cups of coffee. I'm concerned about durability, thus the average score. When using ground coffee, everything is fine, and the coffee is very good. Overall, I am glad I purchased the coffee maker. I can't recommend it at this point, because I haven't had it long enough to see how the durability plays out."

"I have had numerous coffee makers and this is the one that has what I want in a coffee maker. Grinds beans very good or just use ground coffee. It is easy to use, looks good and keeps coffee hot for a long time. I like knowing when I want to cap off my cup it will be with good hot coffee."
