"First time is a little tricky, you have to remember to put the filter in, for example, even though there is no coffee in it, but once that is done, then it seems to work quite well. The coffee is good and it's great to set and forget. I think a full pot might be too weak for us as it doesn't grind the beans very fine. I usually just about fill the grinder with beans for 6 cups of coffee. And as others have mentioned, if it's anywhere near where you sleep you're going to be awakened quite rudely by the grinding noise. But all in all, a good product at a good price."

"We purchased a refurbished coffee maker and were SURPRISED that the unit had numerous very visible scratches on the outer surface. We have purchased refurbished items before but they were never scratched or marred in any way. The coffee maker is great and we kept it but it would have been nicer if the physical appearance was better. We will carefully consider any future purchases if the product is refurbished. It would be nice if the description of the item indicated that the product was damaged in its appearance"

"I bought this to replace one that I had (the carafe had broken, and for the price of the carafe thru the cuisinart company and shipping it, I found on overstock that I could get a new machine!)

"Yes, I would and have recommended this coffee maker. This is the 3rd unit I have purchased. Mine is over a year old and still keeps the coffee as hot as the first day I used it. The other 2 units were ordered for friends. They reviewed them at a department store and were pleased at the price available through Overstock. It gets 4 stars as you need to be precise when setting up for brewing. I did remove the brew stop on the filter cup, as if not positioned correctly it will over run. Note; I am an avid coffee drinker and use the maker twice daily. I would purchase it again."

"It makes a great cup of coffee, however the grinder on my unit is not up to snuff. I've had this coffee maker before and it ground up the coffee beans much finer than this particular model. I just think the grinding motor is giving out....I still like the cuisnart coffee makers and will continue to purchase them!"

"This coffee pot was too complicated to operate......... too many buttons and variables, I couldn't even set the clock. all it does is beep at you when it has something open and never made a full pot.. only a half a cup and then it quit altogether........ and it is non returnable! VERY dissapointed!"

"We bought 2 of these coffeemakers recently to replace 2 other Cuisinart coffeemakers we had previously bought from Overstock. Don't worry; they wore out from use; they were not defective. Considering that they are "refurbished" these coffeemakers last a long time.
The added bonus? Freshly-ground coffee! I love not having to grind beans separately; this coffeemaker does a wonderful job.

"We just love the coffee! This is my 3rd Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffeemaker purchase. The first two were double the price I paid for at Overstock. The grinder is a bit noisy, but not any noisier than a coffee grinder. I switched to another name brand grind & brew which was triple the price and after a week of horrible coffee, I went back to the Cuisinart. I like that this maker requires basket filters versus cone filters. Cone filters, I have found, leave a paper taste in the coffee. If you like a good cup of coffee and a good price, buy this one."

"The coffee maker works great. I was a little disappointed when I opened the package and, although I understood it was refurbished, it looked "used". However, it does brew a great cup of coffee. Took me a minute to figure out to turn off the grind if I was using regular ground coffee, and still have to figure out the auto off switch. Otherwise, the delay brew and waking up to a nice hot cup of good coffee is great!"

"Bought this one to replace the old one that kept shutting off during brewcycle. It was about 3 years old and gave good service till then. Refurbished coffeemaker works just like it should--very pleased and would recommend."
