"These head phones are nice, but I only saw a difference when used on an aircraft. They drowned out some of the engine noise, but it was not a huge difference. I will still use them as they do cancel out some noise, but it would be worth your money to upgrade to better quality. The overall fit was comfortable, but if you have a smaller head, you might consider another brand."

"While I am not an audiophile, I have to say that these noise canceling stereo headphones do everything I want them to and for a very good price. The noise canceling works great, (in it's frequency range), and the sound quality is excellent. They are comfortable and easily adjusted. For me, the only thing I would like is if the cord was a bit longer as I use them extensively while on the computer and I move around a lot; needing just a little bit more reach. This could have easily been solved if I went wireless, but I chose not to, (so it is clearly not a fault of the product)."

"a very good value, worked perfectly from the first and I continue to use them on a daily basis while I am mowing and doing other noisy jobs. The noise canceling works fairly well depending on specific frequency of the offending noise. While on the commercial mower or my forklift it's perfect, using a commercial weed eater, useless. Your success with the noise canceling will be strictly a experiment, but for the price I personally think it's worth it."

I read a lot of Audio Books so I wear them constantly and as such they are not that comfortable, I have to keep adjusting them, their noise cancelling qualities are average at best. "These headphones are fine. If you read reviews on CNET they explain that there is concern about the quality of the noice cancelling and that gave me some trepedation. But in the end, they are pretty inexpensive (although you can find them about the same cost anywhere, Overstock is not an exceptional deal on these), and they are good enough for those who do not want to spend more on better quaity noice cancelling. I rank this a 3.5 stars overall. I am fully satisified."

"I purchased a refurbished set at a great price. These work great for the money. They are definitely for larger heads and barely fit me on the smallest setting. The carry case is a bit lame and the set does not fold for compact travel storage. As far as canceling noise they work reasonably well. If I had paid full retail price, I would be disappointed."

"These would more properly be called "noise reducers" rather than cancellers. They work best at removing noise from the low-frequency sound range, and this is most obvious with constant level noise like motor engines or road noise, which is apparently why they are touted as an ideal gadget for airline travel. They definitely lowered road noise in the car. I will test the airline use as soon as possible. Don't expect any cancellation of higher-frequency sounds, like voices and the baby screaming across the aisle. Music sound quality was not as good as I expected; my little MP 3 ear pieces seem to have crisper rendering of the higher ranges."
