"This is a very sturdy, well made coffee pot. Reminds me of the one my mother used many years ago, only better. The top is hinged, so you don't have to worry about it falling off when you pour coffee. The basket is generously sized and sturdy, has an actual spring in the middle to support the basket. This is a not a light-weight coffee pot. The handle doesn't get hot when the coffee is done, which is a tremendous plus if you have ever burned yourself on a stove top coffee pot. Makes coffee very quickly, Smells great when it's perking. Love the glass top which allows you to see the coffee perking. It's retro but better. Love it.I bought this pot to replace a celebrity endorsed pot I bought in a department store which was more expensive than this one and lasted about two months (the basket fell apart because it had no support and the pot got way too hot to hold). This is a definate upgrade. I'm very satisfied. Excellent value for the money. Thanks, Overstock. I'm in coffee heaven!"

"It''s a perfect size. easy to clean. The only thing I suggest is filling the perculator to 4 and a half cups of water because you want the water to hit the coffee grinds. I notice when I do it that way my coffee taste better and stronger. When it's four cups it's not as strong and less than that your coffee will be very watery."

"I have been looking for an inexpensive, stove-top percolator that I can recommend to clients who need to make coffee for use in the Gerson system of treatment for advanced chronic diseases. This machine is perfect for the purpose because as well as being used for normal drinking coffee, it can left boiling for a longer period of time than normal to remove the oils and esters from the coffee for medicinal use. While the price is expensive for the type of unit, it is available and the delivery service is excellent."

I Love It,July 20, 2009
By lininvermontfrom Vermont
"I had forgotten how nice it is to have HOT coffee. All the drip coffee makers put out warm, but not hot coffee, and I found myself putting it in the microwave just to reheat it. I also like it because unlike the last one I had this one is stainless steel."

"The coffe percolator came packaged in a box with brown wrapping paper around it. I was surprised at the the sturdiness of the pot like in olden days. There was no plastic parts any where. However it did not have measurement markings on the body, Which would make it faster to pour the water in without premeasuring and it did not come with water to coffee ratio instructions. So I have been experimenting to get the right flavor. My husband suggested we write to a coffee company(ie,Folgers/Maxwell house, etc) to see if they have the measurements for a percolated pot of coffee. I am waiting for a reply. Overall, I love it."

"I have been looking for a stove-top percolater for some time. We do a lot of "tailgating" for college football games and this is just perfect for a camper stove or outdoor grill w/a burner. Quality exceeded my expectations. I am very pleased with the purchase."

"I have been looking for a stove top percolator for ever and finally found it. However is you never had a percolator you will be a little lost. It comes with no instructions. I have and electric one but it shuts off when done, so this one has been trial and error. I found that percolating for 20 mins is perfect and be pretty generous with the coffee. The other issue is when I received the item it literally was tossed into a carton 4x its size with NO wrapping other than a plastic bag it came in about the weight of a glad bag. I can assume from the tossing and turning this product had to go thru via shipping its quite durable. I fault the person(s) who every shipped it for the lack of respectable packaging. I'll tell you this if it on one tiny mark I would of sent it back just to prove a point in the exact way it came. But it was perfect and I totally love it. Remember NO instructions so perk for 20mins and your be fine."

"When I received the peculator I was disappointed that it wasn't electric. My disappointment went to immediate joy after my first cup of coffee. The flavor delivered by this peculator is unbelievable and I will never use a drip coffee maker again. I'm looking to buy a few these for gifts."

"Good weight. Would have preferred a detached lid, this lid is hinged to the top, but it's not a problem. These pots are so hard to find any more. Very clean, seems nicely made but I haven't used it yet. It's an extra pot for me. It doesn't come with coffee making instructions (WHAT???) I'm an oldie so I know how to do this but how do you give this to someone who may not be familiar? Perhaps my box just didn't have the instructions,"

"Mom & Dad were running out of electical outlets in their small apartment. They also had problems breaking the glass caraffes with conventional electric coffeemakers. Mom always "nuked" the coffee after it was done to get it to the temperature she prefers. She indicated that she wished they still made old fashioned percolators for the stove. This one fits the bill. They say the coffee is great, no more filters, it doesn't even boil over liike the percolators of days gone by. Overall - this really fit the bill. Thanks Overstock ... AGAIN!"
