"I've used many shredders before - one only lasted a week under the brutal tearing of paper into strips. This one is going to last. You can tell from the way it goes. The only thing that I'm missing is a way to destroy CDs. This won't jam up on staples like some past ones have, and the reverse actually reverses. The instructions that come with it actually tell you how to care for it, not just "To clean, use a damp cloth, and don't use chemicals as they might discolor the casing." This is a quality product that will last a while. (Under my use, maybe more than a month! or two!) One word of advise though - when you go to empty it, have something sitting in front of the machine you can later empty, as it seems to "fling" the shredded paper out once the bin starts to fill up. (NOt a problem with the product itself, but a design issue with the bin the paper falls into.)"
