"I really was excited about this purchase. The bag has a professional and chic look about it. it has enough space for my laptop and a few files. However, I noted the leather was so easily scratched. So, when I purchase a briefcase I buy it for the long haul. This bag may not last for a long period of time. If you buy this, realize you might use it sparingly if you want it to still look good."

"This bag was exactly what I wanted. It's a heavy leather and big enough to hold an average laptop with a couple of other notebooks. My only (small) complaint is that I wish the metal fittings were brass (or fake brass) rather than the brushed steel look that they have. I've had the bag about a month and so far I'm totally happy with the quality. It's been quite durable and it's "weathering" nicely into the casual "book bag" I wanted."

"This bag is huge so if you want a big bag and you're of some height or weight, this bag will work for you. It is gorgeous. I ordered the brown. Unfortunately, I'm small frame and the bag made me look as if I was running away from home. Of course, I returned it and am looking for something much smaller. I would recommend it for looks. I can't say how durable it is since I returned it, but it looked sturdy."

"The briefcase arrived in great shape with that great leather smell. Very happy with the purchase. The leather is of decent quality and seemingly durable, easily handling the file load I put into it. Also, the leather becomes softer with further use, but still easily retains its rigidity to maintain the briefcase shape. It certainly has plenty of room for my files and pockets for my Blackberry, my pens, and business cards. The bag is great for light to medium weight loads; heavier loads may be too much for it. The only worry I have is that the closure clip may not be strong or durable enough, but this is a great buy for the price. Highly recommended."

"I bought this for my daughter for college. It appears to be well made and very sturdy. The leater is a little stiff but should soften with use. If it were soft already I'd be worried that it wouldn't last the 4-5 years we hope it will. She loves it and it looks great!"

"This bag was bought as a gift, and after reading the reviews, I thought that this would be a good buy. Unfortunately, when the bag arrived I was devastated about the quality of the bag. Frankly, it just looked cheap. My daughter used her babysitting money to buy this for her Dad for Christmas, and I didn't have the heart to send it back. So, he will use it and smile, but it is not the quality that was described, and was a very disappointing purchase."

"Bought this as a gift for my husband. He was impressed with the looks of it upon opening - nice quality leather & stitching. After two weeks of daily business use, the latch broke and would no longer stay closed. Now I have to go through the trouble of returning it and looking for a new briefcase from square one."
