"I do a lot of sewing and have had a Brother machine in the past. This one is easy to use and the book included is easy to follow with pictures & text. There were 2 attachment foots that were missing and Overstock is trying to replace for me. Since most people only use the regular and zipper foot anyway, this was fine. I did need to write down the configuration of the stitches I most fequently use so I didn't need to look it up in the manual every time. I would recommend this machine for beginners to accomplished sewers."

"I am very pleased with my sewing machine purchased from Overstock.com. However, there was one problem. My machine was XL3500i, not XL3500. I did not receive the wide table that was included in the purchase and one of the main reasons I purchased this machine. Overstock did resolve the problem with giving me a fair credit on the purchase. Now I am faced with having to contact Brother Company and trying to order this part, if it is available. This is very time comsuming and frusterating. I do think that Overstock.Com is a fair and customer oriented company. I would purchase from them again."

"I have not done any sewing for many years and have found this machine to be a great re-introduction to sewing. It is light weight and very easy to transport to a quilting class. It has many features such as auto button hole maker and several built in stitches. It is great for a beginner sewer that doesn't want to invest a lot of money."

"I haven't used my new sewing machine for much other than hemming and repairs but it seems to be a great value. I had just paid $40 some odd to have my old Kenmore machine's tension repaired to no avail when I saw this on Overstock. The gears were worn after 25 years of service. Just make sure when you thread the machine you catch the metal wire on position #1. I'd definitely recommend this one."
