"I got the VCR as backup for when mine died. I have a lot of VHS that haven't gone to DVD. I tried it out. It's as easy as other previous buyers said it was. It's back in the box at the moment, waiting for the present VHS to die, but when it comes back out of the box I have no doubts as to how useful and dependable it will be."

"The VCR works very well. We have not had any problems with it. As you might now VCR's are now going out of the market so with this VCR we avoided expending more with the new combos VCR & DVD which are more expensive now and require different connections."

"I'm very pleased with my purchase. I was looking to replace a stand-alone VCR and could not find one without a DVD player also (which I already have). This unit satisfies the need for which it was purchased. It lacks some of the bells and whistles that my old one had (i.e. analog display of length of recording, clock display, and blinking lights indicating power failure), but does record and play back."

"When my two previous VCR conked out, I knew it would be difficult to find a vcr anywhere since it's all about DVD and DVR players. Those are too expensive and you have to buy extra parts to get it to work. Give me an old fashioned VCR anytime. I love this one. Wish it had a visible clock, but that isn't as important than a working machine. This works heavenly. Now I don't have to miss any of my favorite shows while at work."

"I have never purchased anything refurbished before and I am amazed at the excellent quality. It will clearly play most of my old home-taped collection - and I might add - considerably better than my previous machine. I love the fast rewind and one-button ease of recording and set-up time was minimal. If you need a VCR, I highly recommend this one - you'll get more than a "bang" for your "buck"."

"Since VCR's are no long manufactured I purchased a refurbished unit. You never know if you get one of the just opened stock boxes or one that fell off a thirty foot cliff into ten feet of water. The unit was new looking with no blemishes to the case. There is a noisy whriring sound when recording or playing. It is annoyingly complicated in progaming and requires many steps to progam. Not impossible just too many steps. It does well with light use in recording and playing back programs from TV to VCR. Nothing more. Certainly look for discounts or specials. It's fair value for $35 or less."

"I was extremely pleased to find a vcr being sold by itself. You can't find that in the stores anymore as everyone is going to dvd/vcr combos. I found it to be easy to figure out and with the exception of only having 2 speeds I would say it is a good buy. The quickness in receiving it after placing my order was also a plus. All in all I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a simple lightweight machine for ordinary use"
