"I'd been searching for a good, brown leather jacket that I could wear to work (office) and around town, and was really happy to find this one. Trouble was, I liked the style so much, and I wanted the black too. I liked the simple, clean lines, NO ELASTIC in the waist or cuffs (why do designers do that?), and the great cut (slimming too). So I bought both and figured I'd return the one I didn't love. Trouble was, I fell for both of them. I'm keeping both!Both jackets did arrive pretty stiff as other users described (especially in the black collar - but could just be from flat storage & shipping), but both are loosening up appropriately with regular wear. The brown jacket came with a bit more chemical smell than the black, but leaving it hanging outside the closet is helping that to dissipate. The fit was just a bit larger than I expected (I bought Mediums and they were more loose than other Mediums). But as is the fit is still good and comfortable, and wearing more fall or winter wear under them will make the fit perfect to snug."

"Jacket fits well, and is of good quality. I had reviewed the feedback prior to purchasing the jacket. I do agree that the leather is very stiff. I STRONGLY recommend applying neatsfoot oil to the jacket. The jacket has softened up a great deal and is now very comfortable."

"I bought this jacket to replace one that was stolen from my boyfriend. This one has the styling and appearance of the Eddie Bauer version taken from him, with a few important detail differences. The leather used in this jacket is definitely cowhide; it is stiff, rough to the touch, and heavy. The neck is stiff like cardboard and would require many seasons of wear before it is broken in and softened. The inner lining is cotton and the quilting is large stitched, giving it a cheap appearance. The hardware appears to be strong and lasting. Overall, I was disappointed by this jacket and I ended up finding an EB replacement on their sale page."
