The Story Behind the Product:

Chinese ceramic stools date back to the Ming dynasty. Our garden stools are 100-percent handmade by high fire process. The color of glaze will not fade or change. They function as an extra seat, foot rest, small table, plant stand, cocktail table, etc.Made in Jingdezhen (Jingde Town). It has been termed the 'Porcelain Capital' because of its production of quality china. It has a 1700-year-old history of china production. There are thousands of workshops in Jingdezhen, generation after generation.

"Delivery of the stool was quick and it was packaged perfectly. Not a mark on it. When I got it out of the box, I could not believe how much better it looked than the online picture. I was extremely satisfied with the product."

"My only complaint is that the top surface is ever so slightly domed so it does not work as a plant stand (my original planned use). However, it looks great and I am beyond pleased with it as a decorative accent amongst the plants in my front hall. It arrived quickly and in great condition (double packed boxes w/ styrofoam btwn first and 2nd box). Highly recommend."

"I couldn't believe that this stool arrived all in one piece as its made of a heavy porcelain. This could only have been accomplished by having excellent packaging and careful handling. Having made several purchases from Overstock in the past, I should not have been worried about my shipments arrival condition; but this was my first order of something so breakable. I couldn't be more pleased. The overall quality was good. A couple of small imperfections in the porcelain kept the stool from being perfect but everything else about it was great. This was another happy purchase from Overstock."

"I have nothing but great things to say! I was concerned the porcelain stool would never survive shipping, but it did and was packaged very securely! A great value even at twice the price! Beautiful blue color that goes great with my other authentic 18th century Chinese porcelains in the same room! One would never know this wasn't antique as well and I'm not telling! A perfect sized side table for my leather wing chair next to the fireplace! All in all, I'm very pleased and wouldn't hesistate to but this item again for a gift or even for myself if the need arose!"
