"I've had a few shredders. They always wear out too soon, overheat, start to get jammed, and then just die. This one has lasted several years already. The only maintenance we've had to do is oil it once and blow some air into the feed area to dust off the photosensor (if dust builds up, it will run continuously, but as soon as you clean the photosensor, it's fine). I've shredded CDs, credit cards, and fed whole file folders full of paper 8-10 sheets at a time for 15 or more minutes at a time... it just keeps shredding. This shredder is easy to empty, keeps the area around it clean, and is much quieter than other shredders I've had. Highly recommend."

"Highly recommend this machine, it is so quiet and can handle a really thick wad of paper as well as cds, credit cards. Had a inexpensive shredder we had purchased from a very well known discount store and it was horrible, it was very loud and annoying, could not handle but 3 sheets of paper, was hard to empty. Our new Fellowes shredder shreds in to confetti size and has an easy to remove bin to make emptying a snap."
