"first let me say overstock is fast on shipping. Ordered it on Monday and got it by Friday. We ordered a hitch from another site and got it the same day. Very well constructed and my husband had it together and mounted on my Honda CRV '08 in no time."

"• This is a great rack for the price.
• Easy to load and secure to car.
• Easy access to hatch or rear door.
• Needs to have a offset to raise it to bumper level to prevent dragging

"System is incredible, light, solid, fits in the trunk of my ford focus zx3. It is so simple to use. Sit the bikes on and clamp the ratchets down and the bikes will not move. I have a top of car Yakima system, a hitch mount that bikes hang down from but this is by far the best. System is incredible.... thank you"

"I had been looking for a bike rack for awhile before I stumbled onto this one. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and the ease of assembling the rack out of the box. I have a XL 29'er mountain bike that is tall and long and it fit the rack with no problems at all. Of the racks I have tried, It is by far the easiest to place the bike onto and is very stable when driving. I was very happy to see how little the bike moved when driving on the highway. I immediately recommended it to my friends and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. As far as the price goes, you can't beat it! It does appear to be a Swagman XC as previous reviews have mentioned. It came in the Swagman box with their instructions."

"I would recommend this handy bicycle carrier to anyone, It was simple to assemble and is easy to load your bikes without having to worry with the tie down straps other carriers have. My Wife loves this carrier. You can't beat the value of this rack compared with other wheel cradle-type carriers."

"We bought this trailer hitch bike rack to take our son's bike to college. Last spring, we had purchased a roof-mounted famous-brand rack and had it professionally installed...only to have the mount bracket fail as we were driving through the Loop! (No one was hurt, fortunately.) No more roof racks for us! This trailer hitch rack is super heavy, has ratchets to lock in the bike and folds up for storage. The 600-mile round trip was no problem at all with the rack and its effect on gas mileage was negligible. As previous reviewers have said, this is a "Swagman" rack as per the box and instructions. We had some questions about mounting the rack, and Swagman customer service was very helpful. This was an excellent purchase and we heartily recommend this rack."

"We spent quite a bit researching a bike rack that were easy to assemble, we could install in a breeze and, overall, we felt it was going to carry our bikes safely.
The assembly took us a while and we found that some details in the design had been updated from the moment when the instructions were printed. Nothing major though. We called customer service and they were fantastic giving us a hand. So extra points for the company.
The rack is very sturdy. It is heavy as well. I imagine a small person might have some problems placing the rack in the hitch but I think every pound is worth it. In addition, the rack is foldable, perfect to store it or discretely leave it installed in the hitch when you are not carrying bikes. On top of this, I don't think it takes even 5 minutes to put it in place.
Concerning how safely the bikes are carried. They simply don't move at all. Either on highways or on bumpy off-road trails in a state park, the rack does it job. Certainly, the fact that it sports the wheel supports help a lot. Carrying different size or different kind of bikes is not a problem either. In my case, I normally take along a female road bike and a male hybrid with a quite awkward frame and everything has gone perfectly well.
In summary, I really like the rack and leaving apart the weight, which I think is justified, I would recommend it. In fact, I am considering buying another one because these things are expandable!

"I bought this rack after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews, and I am glad that I did. After using it several times, I am convinced that this rack is the best value on the market. This "Railman" is really a "Swagman XC" 2 bike rack. The rack mounts to my hitch and is tightened into place and ready to load in about 2 minutes, and it takes maybe that long to load and secure 2 bikes onto the rack. Very stable once things are tightened. Nice padded frame clamps with push button racheting system. Rack easily folds up or out by just pulling the pins and replacing them. Any issues I read about this rack from reviews from a couple of years ago seem to have been fixed and resolved. In my opinion this rack matchs or beats the racks of this style from Yakima and Thule at about a third of the cost. Overstock had the best pricing on this rack of anyone online, and you can't beat Overstock's shipping costs either. Highly recommended. Much easier and more stable than the trunk rack from Thule that I had been using. JMHO. FWIW."
