Story Behind the Art:
Hand-knotted by Nomadic Weavers and Sheep Herders traveling along the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, these artisans pass on rich traditions from raising local sheep to harvest the pure high mountain hand-spun wool to hand crafting these rugs using past on techniques from generation to generation. After the harvesting of this wool, they use local plants and fruits to make an all natural sun-dried vegetable dyes used to give un-matched warmth to the colors of these rugs. Vegetable dye will fade to give an heirloom look and feel for many years to enjoy.
