Story Behind the Art
I learned the art of batik when I was very young, since my mother is a batik artist. She has been making batik at home for 23 years. I started experimenting with the technique when I was 13 years old, with mori textiles. Now I've learned to create different motifs and to work with other materials, such as silk. My mother and I still design together. My husband Rieckey also helps me a lot. I would like the batik of Bali to become well known around the world, since its beauty is outstanding.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

"As others have said, this is scarf is WAY more beautiful than the pics. It is shades of olive and brown with cornflower blue and maroon. BEAUTIFUL!!! I've seen others not even as pretty for 3 times the price!! It comes in a beautiful box - suitable for gift-giving (but this one was for me!) "What a find! This unique scarf is SO MUCH prettier than it appears online and it's a terrific gift. It came in a beautiful fabric-covered box; the colors are true and deep (but not dark); the silk is soft; and I was thrilled that it arrived ON TIME, the day before Christmas, even though it was coming from Indonesia.
