"I was pleasantly surprised with the fit & quality of this coat. I was taking a chance buying it without trying it on as I usually have trouble with coat shelves not being long enough. It is true to size with room to move but not so much room it is baggy. Like the material - nice soft wool. Hangs well too. Just the right weight for the type of winters we have in SC; if I was up north I would want something heavier & warmer."

"I am 6 feet tall and have a hard time finding a coat that fits me through the torso well; coats often hit me too high, even though I don't have a long torso in proportion to the rest of my body. A size 16 (the size I ordered to fit sweaters underneath) is made for someone who is usually 5' 8" or perhaps shorter. The Levine coats are longer through the torso than many other styles, and this one was also longer.The coat is high quality wool and looks very nice. My only complaint is that it is just a tiny bit short in the sleeves (and it's probably only perceptible to me). Otherwise, I really like it and feel dressed up when I need it for business travel. It is as warm as most other wool coats I have owned--nice that it covers the bum in cold weather."

"What a gorgeous coat! I wanted to get the scarlet but they are out. I got the dark gray. I also wantedto get a classic coat that wouldn't go out of style. I don't like double-breasted coats. This is a very high quality coat. True to size. Get your regular coat size. It is very light but warm. The empire waste tapers beautifully. You would pay $300+ for a coat like this in Canada, especially with the high amount of wool in it. I really like it!"

"I was hesitant about buying this coat online. I was afraid it would not be true to size, that the material would subpar and it would not be comfortable. "I don't normally write reviews but I was so impressed with this coat I had to write.I just received it in the mail today and couldn't wait to try it on. The fit was great, just a little shaping high on the waist to give you a nice shape, yet still comfortable. I got the dark charcoal color, a really nice dark grey. It is a neutral color that will go with anything.The quality was great, really nice fabric, lining and workmanship. It looks like a really high quality coat. I have been looking in the department stores at $200 coats that weren't as nice as this one. I am really happy I found this one in my google search for "empire waist coat", it was just what I was looking for."

"I have paid twice as much for coats of this quality. The detail in the stitching adds style, the fabric is soft and looks very expensive. I love, love, love this coat. I bought it in black, but will probably purchase the red one also. This is truly a beautiful coat that will last season after season. It can be worn with anything, even jeans. "i recently lost 4 dress sizes and have had to replace my entire wardrobe. i purchased this coat , partly due to the great reviews it had gotten. now i would like to add my own to the mix. this coat is everything it claims to be. i ordered it in black and look forward to many years of wear out of it, since it is a very classic style. it is luxurious, light weight, well tailored, and the sleeves and length are perfect (i am 5'7" tall) also, the lining is not flimsy. i would heartily recommend this coat to anyone. i cant wait for the cold weather to come again, so i can look stylish and elegant!!"
