"Needed a compact, inexpensive TV for a small space, and this worked out great. Easy connection to existing cable service (description of TV is unclear as to whether it has coaxial connection). It obviously has a deeper footprint than the flat screens, but for our purposes, this is working well. Have not yet used the DVD."

"We are enjoying the combo dvd/tv in our motorhome. It fits perfectly in a cabinet over the bed.The picture is clear, and now I can watch movies while my husband watches football in the living room. Great price and perfect for us retirees!!!"

"After reading the mostly good reviews for this tv I decided to purchase because I needed a "sturdier" television for my grandson's bedroom, the DVD/Digital tuner were very attractive features for the price also. Alas, the DVD player stopped working after less than 24 hours but since the TV picks up quite a few channels on its own and a converter box wasn't needed I suppose it is worth what I paid for it. I am disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to someone who needs dependable DVD player."

"Finding anything but an expensive flat screen TV is almost impossible anymore! Checked overstock.com and was very pleased to find this product. The refurbished Magnavox TV/DVD I purchased exceeded my expectations. Other than a minor blemish on hardware, the device works spendidly and has great picture quality. The DVD works great. This would be a great TV for an area with limited space (i.e., kitchen, efficiency apt., etc.) and also great for kids room. Would highly recommend this product and the price and shipping via Fed Ex was definitely a plus."

"This tv was bought for our teenager's room. We don't want them to have cable so the digital tuner was a plus. However in our area, only one channel would come through. We bought a cheap digital amplifier and it seems to have helped. Great picture quality, dvd feature is a plus."

"It's hard to give a true rating when the DVD portion didn't function at all.Not only did it not function, but the overall appearance of the TV that was shipped to us, looked like it was a used...a lot. There were noticeable scratches on the front of the set near the controls and the remote control had a huge scratch across the front of it as well. It was also missing a screw from the back. Not what I expected unless "refurbished" really just means "used" to the point of looking like something you might find at a yard sale."

"While looking for a small, portable TV for emergency use, I watched several brands, but found them all to be lacking in picture quality or ease of use. Came across this TV & with the added DVD feature, figured it would add to use if the need to evacuate in a storm arose. An adapter in the cigarette lighter or our generator would provide the power, so wasn't so concerned about "battery" need. Have been VERY pleased with the picture quality & clarity, the sound, and the amount of stations we get ! So especially if you have children, forget the "smaller" size & go for one of these !"

"Bought as an inexpensive TV/DVD player to take to a lake cottage. Very pleased with the picture quality as DVD player. Not much success with tuning channels in ,since cable not available ,even with rabbit ears antenna. For the price, it was well worth it ,especially on those rainy days."

"I love the picrure and the color. It was difficult to set up, however, because the direction book does not give all the details. It just gives the major overall positions, etc. I've not tried all features yet, but they seem in order, like th sleep setting. It's just the best size for my small office."
