"HP DC7100 3.2GHz Tower XP Pro Computer (Refurbished) was a great buy. The tower was like brand new. The only problem I had was when I first turned the computer on it beeped 5 times and would not boot. Lucky for me I knew exactly what the problem was. I opened up the tower and reseated the memory and restarted the computer and it has been running great ever since."

"Using cpu for mother-in-law with internet habit. Unit came as advertised, and did not have a ton of third-party software preloaded on it. Simple installation of new card reader and additional memory, and this baby really moves. Good price and would definitaly recommend it to those who don't want to fall prey to Vista and Windows 7."

"I would have been pleased with the DC7100 that I ordered, but found that Overstock shipped me the DC7600 instead. It has SATA II hard drive capability, along with DDR2 memory. All in all, a much faster machine. I installed a 320 GB drive as primary and use the original 80GB for backup. I did have to download and install drivers for the NIC, on board video, on board audio, and the chipset. They were all on the HP web site. After installing a fast video card and 4GB of RAM (the maximum), I've got a very nice computer for a very good price. Not the latest and greatest, but it more than meets my needs. Plus, the OS is XP PRO, not Vista. This computer will be more than capable of running Windows 7 when that day comes. Fast shipping from Overstock, as always. Can't ask for more."

"Received this computer and got it up and running in just a few minutes. Only problem is that within 3 day I was receiving an error message of a corrupted file which according to web searches was either a hardware issue or a problem with upgrading to windows internet 7. Customer service suggested re-installing the operation system to correct the problem which became a real issue. It has taken me about a week but I believe I have fixed the file. Other than that this is a great machine. I bought it because my old one crashed and our new laptop have Office 2007 which my wife finds difficult to use for work projects. I like windows xp and that is the main reason for purchasing this machine. If you like xp this machine is great. Lots of extras that work well for our applications. I also work from home and this machine works very well for my business. When comparing the prices of new machines, this is definitely worth the money."

"This computer has worked so well that I ordered two for the purpose of Day Trading on the NYSE. I loaded all of my programs. A stock ticker, a Gold price ticker, US Dollar Ticker, TDAmeritrade account with live chart for the stock I am trading, with Norton, Windows Defender, Adaware , spybot Search and Destroy, all working in the background. Traceroute showed me that I get my trade in to Ameritrade in 566ms. I was happy! My old computer was taking almost 5-7, seconds with all of those memory hogs that I had running."

"We bought the refurbished computer because it still had Windows XP and our old computer's power supply had died. The price was reasonable -and although there was no additional software with it, we considered this a good deal. We like Overstock and have always had good products from them, refurbished or new. This was no exception. The computer is almost a month old, and we've had no problems with it. Works like new! I would recommend Overstock's products for anyone trying to save money and get good products as well. Overstock's shipping is very reasonable and we received our order quickly. "The boot sector was bad out of the box. I had to completely rebuild the entire computer. The XP install was straight forward. The component installation was lengthy and difficult. There is no system disk shipped with the tower. You will have to go out and find all of the "right" drivers. I spent $40.00 on a driver robot to assist me in acquiring all of the missing software drivers. I like HP and Compaq, but this wasn't what I expected. The tower is nearing completion on the build. Lots of hours and lots of hassle."

"This product was a great value for the money. A P4 processor @ 3.2GHz and a gig of RAM. A fast machine and after purchase I installed another 2 gig of RAM making it faster on the net. The only complaint was the mouse they sent only had a 3 foot cord making it impracticle for this application. There is plenty of room in the tower for adding other drives, etc. This is a beauty of a buy."
