"This is a Zip drive that can only handle old 100MB Zip disk media -- if you were into those old items when they first came out, then you may have a bunch of old disks sitting around. This drive easily plugged into my new(er) XP PC, no drivers needed, and was able to read all of my old 100mb disks. More importantly, it was able to retrieve all of the old data I had stored on them, save it to a multi-gig hard drive, and then erase them completely. 100MB just isn't that much space anymore, so there's not much call for this -- better to retire the old media before you can't read it any more. (I had previously gotten a 750MB zip drive, and although it could Read my old 100MB disks, it couldn't write to them, so I wouldn't be able to erase them safely -- now I can, and now I can retire the old media.)"
