Story Behind the Art:
These items are manufactured in various villages in Central Java. Each village specializes in a particular craft and style. An item can also move between various villages as each specialist puts his or her talents to add value to the raw material and then the product in its particular stage of production. There will be approximately 60 people employed to manufacture your goods. The product is made from various tropical woods depending on the dryness and size needed for the piece itself.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

"After a little hesitation, I ordered this table and was very pleasantly pleased when it arrived. The are a few slightly rough areas that aren't sanded and polished exactly smooth -such as under the tray and the bottom inside the doors- but it's not extremely bad. Actually, I expected it to be rougher than it is and expected the carvings to be somewhat of a problem and the glass panels to be loose. Not at all. The glass panels are tight and the carvings are very nice. I was very impressed with the legs which is all we had to attach. Each side had one very sturdy piece with a front and back leg carved into each piece. We just had to put the dowels and screws into the bottom of each piece and it was done. The way this was designed made the table very sturdy. Although we measured and compared to another piece for size comparison, I was very surprised that the inside had as much room as it does. We are very happy with this purchase."

"I had my eye on an antique tea table at a local shop. I waited to create space for it and when I returned it was gone. Finding this replica on Overstock was such a deal. The quality "especially for the price " is amazing! very sturdy and wonderful craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed with this piece! It's not the antique but it will last for years and the price was the deal of the year!"

"UNBELIEVABLE IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. THE TABLE IS A BEAUTIFUL ACCENT TO ANY ROOM.THE DESCRIPTION DOSE NOT GIVE IT JUSTICE. IT WAS ALSO EASY TO PUT TOGETHER.ALSO THE TABLE OPENS IN THE FRONT AND THE BACK GIVING EASY ACCESS TO STORED ITEMS. THE SERVING TRAY FITS PERFECTLY ON THE TOP .
