"I purchased the Sansa Connect as a backup for my Sansa View. It does everything the view does and more since it has a built in speaker so that earphones are optional. I bought a second one for my grandchild knowing that it can be played at a noise level that will not be harmful. It's also great for videos on long trips ( for impatient children). The price is better than some toys and the kids love it."

"I bought 3 of these for Christmas. I opened up one early to test. It's really nice for the price. There are some minor issues though. First there is a scuff mark on the screen. There is a velour case that is included so I don't know why they don't secure the player or at least cover the screen during shipping. Also, no sound without the headphones. For my husband, he will always use the headphones due to hard of hearing but I may have to return the others if they are like this one. It's a shame because these are really nice if everything worked & wasn't scratched.....I knew there was no wifi. You can rollback the firmware to get it but alot of the features inetended for the connect are disappearing so I don't think I'll waste my time rolling it back."

"These have been refurbished, as they have had the wi-fi removed. That is their first misinformation, or lack thereof. The next is no manual. ONE HAS TO FIND IT ON THE INTERNET! The radio function does not work, so basically one has a unit that plays synced songs, and shows downloaded pictures and videos. My first unit came with the case and screen badly scratched. I went through the hassle of packing and sending the unit . I have decided to keep this unit, as I am tired of the hassle. Now I find they have reduced the price by $7.00, but I would have to give up any warranty claims in the future to get the difference refunded. If you can live with all the misinformation and such...go for it. Just find the manual online first, and realize it is refurbished."

"I bought this a couple months ago for myself. When I received it I noted that it could be recharged using an outlet rather than the computer. Perfect!!! I immediately thought of my disabled brother who loves music and does not have a computer. I downloaded many Christian songs that he is fond of. While in town this past weekend he has been getting used to it...so the Sansa is going home with him to IA. He is delighted because he sees a lot of other men using these devices...now he can too!!!"

"This is an excellent unit. Easy to use, large screen (important to me as I'm waaay over 40), and expandable. I gave it 5 stars in every category except features. And that's only because it doesn't have an FM tuner. I use this in my automobiles and motorcycle to replace the XM radio. They play the same stuff over and over anyway. I put about 800 of my favorites on the device and I don't hear the same song for days. Less frequently than XM. After purchasing the first one, I bought a second at a friends request. He's just as happy."

"I bought this for my trip across the country. I was impressed with the display screen (a nice size), but found it entirely too easy to delete my songs by accident. The hold button on top is a must use feature! This MP3 player stored 107 songs and two complete audiobooks without even half of its space used up. This was a must for my trip.The user guide was really not much help at all---it was all trial and error. It didn't take too long to figure it out (luckily), and I was downloading music onto it by the next night. You can rip music from any CDs you may have and then upload them to the SanDisk. The battery life wasn't as long as I'd like, but it made it through the day (probably ten hours) without conking out on me. Invest in a car charger; it's worth it. Overall, a great product, with just a few kinks to work out. I don't know if I would have splurged on it if I didn't have a gift card, but it's a nice MP3 player overall. The storage space is phenomenal, and it's great for those music dead zones on drives."

"this item was a replacement for a sansa e240 that i bought my son his got washed so i bought him this one since it was the only one i could find close to his and a good price range. "This is a great alternative to an iPod. It has many special features including play list options and it will sort your music by artist, song, album, or genre. It also allows for videos and text documents to be stored on the MP3 player. This has a 2 GB internal storage and the best feature is that there is a slot to fit a micro SD card. This essentially means that there is an unlimited amount of storage that the MP3 player can hold. I found that the buttons are easy to operate with a wheel used to navigate the menus. The only problem that could arise is the large screen has almost no protection. This means that it can be easily scratched or broken. Overall this is a very enjoyable product and should be considered when purchasing an MP3 player."
