The two met personally with artisans and placed orders with a producer group managed by two Afghani women, Laila and Najiba. These two entrepreneurs find female artisans in their western Kabul neighborhood and introduce them to the regional Worldstock office in Kabul. The removal of the Taliban has created an exciting time in Afghanistan for enterprising women like Laila and Najiba. Now freed from the yoke of oppression, they can explore their dreams of creating a better life for themselves and their community.
