Both Iris Garden and Yellow Wheat and Cypress were painted during the period Vincent Van Gogh voluntarily confined himself to the asylum in Saint-Rimy de Provence from May 1889 to May 1990. Initially confined to the asylum grounds, Vincent paints the world he sees from his room, deleting the bars that obscure his view. In the asylum's walled garden he paints irises, lilacs, and ivy-covered trees. Landscapes, such as Yellow Wheat and Cypress, would be some of the most exquisite paintings he would ever produce. Paintings from this period at Saint-Rimy are exhibited to critical acclaim.
Both pieces include a sculpted frame with gentle engravings designed to emphasize the art. The frames also include a wooden liner with a subtle fillet. The frame color is black with a rich antique gold accent.

"This canvas collection is very well put together. I almost feel these were custom made just for me. I would definately recommend these for someone who wants a few smaller paintings paired together. These paintings are only approx. 16x20 as posted in the description, but they are big enough to enjoy together. I love Van Gogh paintings and these are my first canvas prints. I think I will really enjoy these for years to come. Thank you O!!"

"The pictures arrived well packed. The frames were quite nice and the colors on the paintings quite vibrant. I had originally plan to keep the Irises and give the Field away as a gift but we actually like the Field better. Very impressed with overall quality and the price can't be beat. Would like to get some of the larger Van Goghs."

"Hello.I just received the Vincent Van Gogh Field And Irises Framed Collection and I absolutely love it! I consider this purchase to be one of the most rewarding that I've made in awhile for a few reasons.First, I love Mr.Van Goghs work and had nothing to pay tribute to such an amazingly gifted artist. Now I do! I am much impressed with these two reproductions! They are high quality and beautifully matted and framed. The surfaces of both the prints and the frames were perfect- no scratches,indentations,or marks of any kind. The art work was also well packed. Last but not least, I enjoyed the bit of info that Overstock.com included in the description of this merchandise which influenced my decision to purchase in the first place. I HIGHLY recommend this collection to anyone who appreciates Van Gogh and great quality!
