"I have adored this movie for years, I purchased it originally on VHS and just; had to buy it on DVD. I cry everytime I watch it. It is such an emotional story. Get your pop corn and your kleenex ready, for those of you that has not seen this movie, you are missing a great tear jerker."

"Great movie , does contain adult situations. Would not let school age children watch. This is a great movie involving racial issues back in the late 40's -50's. Shows hardships and friendships that crossed racial lines and how two single women formed a friendship that lasted a lifetime. How the children wanted two entirley different things. One wanted to pass as white and the other just wanted a normal family and her mothers love."

"Of course the movie was great. However, I was under the impression that there would be two (2) DVD's in the one case one which was from 1934 and then the one from 1959. I only received one which has Lana Turner in it."
