"The sewing machine did a decent job of what was expected of it. It is portable ,light weight and can be connected to the supply or be battery operated (DC charger/batteries not included). Having the machine Connect to supply was convenient...instead of using batteries."

Good for Kids,

"I bought this for my 6 year old Grandaughter. She has used it twice, then the batteries died. Does not take a normal A/C adapter and we've yet to get one that does fit. It's fine for a toy but for real sewing? No. But at 20.00 it shouldn't be other than a toy. Good for kids."

"It appeared to be fairly well built, but after numerous attempts at using this machine, I threw it out. It would not sew consistently - even when powered with cord. It is easier to hand sew."

"You are not going to sew a dress with it, but it is great for small fixes. Worked right out of the box. Fast learning curve. Did what would have taken 2 hours by hand stitching in 15 minutes. Would definaltely recommend.
Overstock is a little slow on shipping, but for only $2.95 total shipping charges I can live with that

"I bought this to hem cut-offs for my 7 yr old. What a great way to be resourceful and not have to spend a whole lot more on a sewing maching, I thought. Well, it's a piece of junk onless you are sewing very, very lightweight fabric. The thicker the fabric the more the needle won't travel, so forget doing anything but seersucker. Its very slow.
The snap in parts that hold the spools and bobbins don't fit in well, and the pictures and directions are not very detailed either.
This was very frustrating and time consuming just to get it going. I will pass it on to someone who has a couple of hours on hand to hem a pair of shorts.

"This sewing machine comes ready to go. It included several bobbins already spooled with black and white thread. After inserting 4 AA batteries (not included) we were sewing instantly. This is a great little beginner sewing machine. Great product!"

"I love this little sewing machine. I already have a large sewing machine, but wanted something for doing quick mends and adding stitching to some of my paper craft projects without having to drag out the big machine. This little sewing machine measures apx 8-1/2" x 6" x 2-3/4". Small? Yes, but perfect to set up on a shelf without taking up a lot of room. I love how this machine runs on batteries so no worries about having to deal with electrical cords. This machine takes sewing down to its bare essence which is perfect for me--no backstitching, no zig-zag stitch, etc.--just forward straight stitching. To do a backstitch, I just turn my project around and sew over the last few stitches I made. I think it helps if you have some sewing experience in order for the instructions to make more sense, but think anyone could learn with time and a little patience. In case you are wondering, like I did, how this machine works without a foot pedal, it is very simple. There is an On/Off button in the front on the handle of the machine. Once you push in the button, the machine starts sewing so you want to be sure your project is in place. Just press the button again to stop sewing. On the back of the machine, there is a speed button which you can select between Normal (slow) and Speed (fast). I recommend trying it first with Normal to get the feel of how it works. If you are looking for a space-saving sewing machine that is easy to use, this is for you!"

Generally pretty good,
February 19, 2008

"I bought this as my first sewing machine since I'm a college student and I travel a lot but I like to mend my clothes.
The sewing machine is really cute and compact, and came ready to go. Which also means, however, that I had no idea how to set up the thread myself (I have little experience with other sewing machines). The instruction manual is not very detailed, and very brief, so was not all that intuitive. I have used it a couple of times successfully. It works best with thin fabric, otherwise the thread gets tangled a lot. Again, people with more sewing machine experience might have a different opinion.
Overall, I would recommend it since it was cheap, compact, and saved me some time with sewing.

"Very cute and works great for smaller/light duty jobs. Will be great for my 10 y.o. learning to sew. Instructions not too clear, but I figured it out. For an inexpensive or 1st timers machine, this is GREAT. 1 thing I don't like is as you're sewing, the machine moves slightly. The ON & OFF switch isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Once I get the hang of this sewing thing, I may upgrade to a bigger one. Very happy!"

"I purchased this sewing machine for my daughter. It looks well built and should do the job for her. She is just getting in to crafts and small sewing projects. I am glad it was for her and not me. The instructions looked a bit complicated, so maybe she can use her college education to make it work."

"A little hard to set up, but once that's accomplished, it works great for repairs, hemming, etc. We had several king pillow cases that came with sheet sets, but we don't use king pillows. The cleaners had charged me $8.00 EACH to shorten them, so this paid for itself immediately. Good deal."

"I bought this for my 7 year old daughter to make clothes for her stuffed animals. It has worked very well for us, much better than the toy machines. It is portable and light-weight so she can bring it to her grandmother's house too. For safety she always has an adult working with her. But overall, it has worked well for us and our simple sewing projects."

"What a cute little machine. I received it as a gift from my students in school.
This machine does a great job on small jobs such as hemming a curtain without having it to take down. Great for a lot of other things as well. Great to have in the house, can be used instead of the big sewing machine which you don’t have patience to take out. This weighs a nothing and does the same kind of jobs like the big machines. Great for beginners. Makes a great holiday gift. Or birthday gift, or teacher gift.

"We bought this for our 6 year old daughter to learn to sew with, but I've used it a couple of times while my machine is in for repairs. It's not a bad little machine! It has 2 speeds and stops/starts with a button, rather than a foot pedal. It doesn't do reverse and the stitches are just one size, nothing fancy. But, it's just the right size for my daughter and very simple to use. I doubt I would have the patience to use this for making clothes or anything, but for simple repairs or for a nice machine that's inexpensive to teach a little one to sew, this is perfect. I didn't rate it 5 stars only because it didn't come with an a/c adapter, so it runs the batteries down pretty quickly."

"As a sewer for 30 years, some of that time professionally, I can say that this is a great product. No, it's not a regular sewing machine, but this little guy can certainly do your mending work. I bought this because my dogs tore some holes in their bed, and I didn't want to drag out the full size sewing machine. Well, it just chug-chug-chugged through four layers of fleece. Job done! For such a little battery powered no lest hand held sewing machine at such a great price any one would be hard pressed to find a better bargian, this little machine really works, a nice piece of engineering that does exactly what you asked.
Also, this overstock affiliate is top notch. I got it in three days, and they test it for you before they ship it, so what can you lose? THANK YOU OVERSTOCK!!!!!
