Hand-crafted by artisans from Indonesia, this piece was created in a cottage industry. The Table boasts a classic design and is perfect for hallways and entryways. Constructed from Indonesian hardwood this table is sure to be a favorite for years to come.
Bima Trading retains the services of various artisans spread throughout Indonesia to handcraft the funiture that we design for the United States market. These artisans work from home in their villages. Each village specializes in a particular craft and style. Bima, in conjunction with what we term a coordinator, ensures that the village production team has the timber, the drawings and the other essentials to craft the product into the specialty of that particular area. Each village has its own specialized sets of tools to complete their aspect of the crafting of the furniture. The work in progress is then moved to the next village for further enhancements which include polishing, spraying and finishing. In the final process, our coordinator will take charge of the products and have them checked, boxed and placed in the container ready for shipment to the United States. We have working under our direction, in an informal manner, some 60 artisans and their helpers. In order to maintain consistency, each batch is crafted by the same teams.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

"The design of this table is beautiful! The table I received, however, is not the "polished" table shown in the online photo, but rather a more rustic finish. It does have several nicks in the wood, but nicks that were there prior to finishing. This could easily pass for an antique table that has been around (and used) for a long time. My color is more of a dark walnut rather than the lighter wood shown online. I really love the character of the table....it is evident that it is made in the cottage industry of Indonesia. However, if you are looking for "fine" furniture, this is not the table for you. Shipping was quick and the table was packaged well."

"I love the style of this table, and it is actually bigger and more substantial than what I expected. Mine did come with the screws for easy assembly, however, it also came with a 3-inch chunk gauged out on the top edge of the table (must have happened during packaging). The only reason I'm not returning it is because it would cost a lot of $$ to ship it back! I am using a table scarf to cover the "bad" spot, so no one else knows. Other than that, it's a cute table and it would have had a 4.5 star rating had it not been for the big bad gauge that mine came with!"

"I ordered this table to sit in my curved entry foyer. It looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture and is perfect. Incredibly easy to assemble. One of the decorative scroll pieces on one of the legs was broken off, but was easily glued on with wood glue. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I am completely satisfied with it."

"The table arrived in less than 4 days. It was packaged well, but like a previous reviewer stated, without any screws to attach the top and bottom pieces. I am not a woman that I would call "handy" but I was able to put the table pieces together without issue... using my own screws. The table is lovely... I really like the distressed wood. It looks like a much more expensive piece. I have been pricing similar tables in local furniture stores. The quality is the same on this table, if not better... and the price can not be beat. Note the dimensions as this table is a tad taller than most side tables - which is exactly what I needed. I am very pleased with this purchase."

"I have had this table for over a year, I wanted to return it but the lady said there were no more to be had so I kept it :( There were crakes on the table which have only gotten worse over time. Also my husband had to repair the design part of the table.....I do love the size and hight of the table ..just wish I had returned it and waited to see if they got more so I could of had one in better shape than the one I have!"

"I waffled on this purchase for a long time, based on the number of reviews that said their table top was several planks of wood, rather than one solid piece. I'm so glad I finally made the leap, because I LOVE this table. The table top came in one solid piece. It's somewhat rustic, with tiny little imperfections that just (in my opinion) add character. My house is not all perfectly-smooth surfaces, so it fits in well, but if you're looking for glossy, smooth finishes, this isn't for you. It's not so rustic as shabby chic, though; I think it's still quite elegant in a "been in the family for a couple generations and gone through a few moves" sort of way -- not at ALL like plywood, as one reviewer said. The color of mine showed up a tad darker than walnut but lighter than espresso. The height was actually 27.5" ... I say this only because some people have reported 28", others 26" ... seems like this varies from table to table. Super-easy to assemble (took 5 minutes, and part of that time was spent hunting down my screwdriver).WARNING--if you're sensitive to fumes, unpack this outside and let it air out a bit. When I unpacked the box, the varnish smell was almost overpowering."

"It's a great table and a good size for many purposes. I bought it for a game table at our cabin. The table has a less reddish look than the picture (more of a medium to dark brown) and the table top is more rustic than I thought it would be which is fine for a cabin but would not work in a more formal setting.
